The Sacci Way

High-quality, logical, and practical carrying solutions - since 1914

Sacci local production unit
Over a hundred years ago, in the forests of northern Sweden, an idea sprang to life: to make carrying easier. Today, we are still driven by that same mission — still a family-owned business and still developing and producing high-quality carrying systems built to stand the test of time. Always made with passion and tailored to your needs. No matter what you do or where you’re going — we’ve got your back.

Sacci traces its origins to Torsång, Sweden, in 1914, when Wiktor Haglöf began manufacturing and selling backpacks for forestry workers in the Dalarna region under the name Haglöfs.

From its small-scale beginnings, the company grew steadily, and during the 1930s a collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces was initiated. In 1956, Wiktor's sons Rolf and Hans assumed leadership of the company, and throughout the 1960s and 1970s production increasingly focused on leisure products. Between 1974 and 1987, the company was part of the Bonnier Group’s leisure division, Frostagruppen, and became one of Sweden’s leading producers of carrying equipment for recreational use. Today, Haglöfs Scandinavia holds the rights to the Haglöfs name.

In 1987, Hans Haglöf reacquired the production unit in Borlänge with the aim of supplying the military, healthcare sector, and manufacturing industry with backpacks, bags, and other carrying equipment. The company was restructured in 1990, and in 1992 the current name Sacci was adopted. Today, the company is owned by Hans Haglöf’s grandchildren.
